A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi there, my name’s Christy and I’m a maker from the Mitten State. My love for textiles evolved over twenty years ago, when I was a student in the Fibers department at Savanah College of Art and Design, in Savanah, Georgia.
Since then, I’ve learned a great deal about processes, materials, perseverance—and, also, about how to be a better steward of our lovely planet.
When I’m designing a piece or project, I allow my intuition and emotions to play a large part in the process. And, honestly, the end results are rarely what I initially envisioned. But not in a bad way. Quite the contrary.
I currently live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where my environment is full of nature and wonder. The summers are short, the winters are brutal, and the lake is frigid.
